Congratulations

Spencer-Van Etten Central School District proudly recognizes three student-athletes who have been named to the 2024 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) High School National Academic Squad, an honor awarded to high school juniors and seniors who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year.

The following Spencer-Van Etten High School students have earned a place on the NFHCA High School National Academic Squad:

  • Lily Kunzman (NFHCA High School Scholar of Distinction)

  • Katelyn Klym

  • Kaylee Kastenhuber

Additionally, Lily Kunzman has been recognized as an NFHCA High School Scholar of Distinction, a designation awarded to student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.9 out of 4.0 through the first semester of the academic year.

The NFHCA National Academic Squad is sponsored by OPA Winning Teams and honors over 3,150 student-athletes from more than 325 high schools nationwide. Of these, over 1,340 have earned the additional distinction of NFHCA High School Scholar of Distinction. The recognition is based on academic excellence and nominations by NFHCA member coaches.
